Energy for Palmdale’s Independent Choice (EPIC) is excited to share that Palmdale residents can now access rebates for energy efficiency and home electrification upgrades through the federally-funded Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Residential Energy Rebate Programs.
The High-Efficiency Electric Home Rebate Act (HEEHRA) program is now accepting applications, with $80 million available in funding to assist low- and moderate-income households in making sustainable home upgrades. Both single-family homeowners and multifamily building owners can apply for rebates on heat pumps for space heating and cooling systems through the state-administered TECH Clean California Initiative.
These rebates are part of California’s broader strategy to enhance building efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, making climate action more accessible to Palmdale’s residents. EPIC encourages community members to learn more about these programs, which provide greater affordability for installing efficient electric appliances and offer added resilience against climate impacts.
While EPIC is not directly administering these rebates, we are committed to helping our customers understand these new opportunities. Our team is available to provide information and resources to ensure Palmdale residents can make the most of these programs.
