October 1, 2026, marks the four-year anniversary of Energy for Palmdale’s Independent Choice (EPIC), the City of Palmdale’s locally managed community choice aggregation provider. Since 2022, EPIC has transformed the local energy landscape providing clean, reliable power and competitive rates to over 57,696 residential and commercial customers.
Through flagship programs like Power Choice and Your Ride is EPIC, the agency has made home clean energy technology simple and affordable across Palmdale.
Power Choice provides zero-down rooftop solar and Tesla Powerwall battery installations with no credit checks or property liens, helping over 44 households lower their bills, secure backup power during grid outages and retrofit existing solar setups. Simultaneously, Your Ride is EPIC has accelerated clean transportation by distributing over $15,000 in electric vehicle (EV) charger rebates, funding over 33 home charging stations to help local EV drivers save nearly $2,000 annually compared to gasoline.
To date, EPIC has distributed over 143 free refurbished laptops to seniors, military veterans and lower-income families. EPIC also sponsored the city-wide Bytes and Blooms Digital Art Contest to equip local creators with digital drawing tools and art classes.
As EPIC enters its fifth year of service, the agency continues to build a resilient, sustainable future. To learn more or opt up to 100% renewable energy, visit PalmdaleEPICEnergy.com or call (661) 267-5419.
