Palmdale’s journey toward a greener future continues with the Your Ride is EPIC program, offering residents a unique opportunity to save on home plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) or electric vehicle (EV) chargers. Launched in late February 2023 by Energy for Palmdale's Independent Choice (EPIC), this program helps eligible customers reduce the costs of owning a PHEV or EV by providing significant rebates on charging equipment.

As an Energy for Palmdale’s Independent Choice (EPIC) customer, you may notice that your energy bill contains charges from both EPIC and Southern California Edison (SCE). This is a normal part of our service structure and does not mean you are being double charged. 

Energy for Palmdale’s Independent Choice (EPIC) is the City’s locally-managed community choice aggregation (CCA) program. As an alternative to Southern California Edison (SCE), EPIC procures energy for its customers while SCE continues to handle transmission and distribution.

This radio feature is part of EPIC’s ongoing effort to engage with the community and ensure accessibility for everyone, including the Spanish speaking population.
